Sufficiently stressed? Ok, how about a little "boot trivia" to lighten up the holidays! Did you know that the Dubarry Ireland boot and clothing company is named after a famous French courtesan? It's true. Her name was Madame Du Barry, and she, dear readers, was one woman who SERIOUSLY knew how to get what she wanted.
So, back in 2010, when I'd set my sights on a pair of Dubarry Galway Boots for Christmas, I naturally wondered, WWMDBD?
Asking Santa's out - Madame Du Barry would never make it off the naughty list. Ok, so would she charm? Hint? Seduce? Demand? Throw herself at the king's feet and declare, "Louis, darling, I simply MUST have those boots for Christmas!"?
Maybe - but I like to think Madame Du Barry would actually just buy the &%$#?@ boots herself! That's what I did. And for almost four years now I've walked, waded, and slogged through mud, sand, rain, rivers, you name it, in my trusty Dubarry boots and (after a quick clean-up) they are still MAGICAL.
So in keeping with last week's post on Layering: Comfy, Cozy & Chic, we decided to take our freshly cleaned and conditioned boots and glam 'em up even more with Dubarry's Faux Fur Boot Liners, available from Dubarry Ireland for $39.00/pair.
Who knew a product category as boring-sounding as "boot accessories" could be so utterly irresistible? Now the only question is which boot liner to get ... Elk, Chinchilla, Leopard, Lynx or Black?
Why, she'd buy them all, of course!
